  • Distilled on a Creole copper column still
  • Aged on-site at the Fonds-Préville distillery for 3 years, first in re-charred bourbon barrels and then transferred to ex-rum barrels that have undergone a heavy, alligator char (char #4)
  • Proofed with spring water sourced from Mt. Pelée
  • A nose of bananas Foster, Golden Delicious apples, and Café Brûlot precedes a palate of clove, white pepper, and lace cookies with a bright finish of fresh banana leaf and lemon oil
  • No added sugar or coloring
  • 43% ABV

Rhum J.M utilizes its on-site cooperage to craft a spirit that conjures the essence of Mt. Pelée, the volcano that lends its unique character to the terroir in which J.M’s estate-grown sugarcane thrives, the flora that lends nuance to the rhum’s open-tank fermentation, and the spring water that filters through its rich soil before proofing J.M’s exceptional distillates. Rhum J.M Master Blender Karine Lasalle expertly incorporates heavily charred barrels that convey smoke and earthiness, resulting in a rhum with wow-factor baking spice that still retains the verdant grassiness of the distillery’s younger expressions.

"This rhum's roots runs deep, coming out of the first recorded distillery to make Rhum Agricole in Martinique. While the aromas are slightly reserved, each sip bursts with notes of bruléed fruit thanks to the rhum's three-year aging period in double-charred oak barrels. Skip the cocktails and sip this rum."

"Orange peel and toasted almond lead the nose. The lively palate offers lots of vanilla and caramel up front, drying into hints of leather and cigar wrapper. The finish shows a faint but refreshing bell pepper-like vegetal exhale. KARA NEWMAN"
