"An intense nose of mint-lined blue fruit is followed on the palate by fresher cranberry, maraschino cherry, plum and blood orange. Expressive savoury layer of fresh coriander, thyme and lavender. Intense and vibrant with a long spicy tail of black pepper, cardamom and nutmeg. Beautifully presented tannins, at once smooth and assertively grippy."

"#53 Top 100 Wines of Portugal: Explosive aromas of graphite, blueberries, blackberries and burnt wood. This is powerful and mighty, with impressive concentration, fine-grained tannins and a persistent, mouth-coating finish. Attractive richness and exuberance. This is a single-quinta Port where about half is made up of a field blend of old vines, with the balance being touriga nacional. Better after 2034."

"This well-structured version delivers a succulent burst of boysenberry, blackberry and black cherry compote flavors wrapped in licorice snap and supported by ganache and Christmas pudding notes on the finish. Needs time to knit fully. Best from 2037 through 2055. 955 cases made."

"Effortlessly fresh. The nose is saturated with freshly picked violets, graphite, rich blueberries and pepper spices. Medium- to full-bodied for Port. This is sweet but not heavy on the palate, with plenty of blue and purple fruit rounded by dusty tannins. Sweet but juicy in the finish, with a touch of warmth at the end. Drink from 2026."

"Sleek, ripe and nicely defined, with notes of violet and hibiscus racing along the edges, while the core of warmed plum reduction and blackberry compote notes moves through steadily. There's a nice tug of licorice root and earth through the finish, lending this some rustic contrast, with a deep well of polished fruit. Best from 2040 through 2055."
