A Malvasia Fina-based blend of traditional Douro white varieties, grown on schist-sandstone soils at 600 meters of elevation • White port is a unique style marked by a wide range of sweetness levels and complexity • Hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel before being fortified with grape brandy • Casks of different years are then blended to achieve the desired age character – in Kopke’s case, the age on the label is the average age of all the wines in the blend • Wines labeled with average of the blends (30 year) are commonly referred to as “Statement of Age” White Port.

"Complexity, depth offset by remarkable vividness in a wine that naughtily fools the palate by making its 120gr/L of sugar seem hardly sweet at all. Mandarine, nectarine, quince, lemon curd and red apple build the core, cloaked in fig leaf, linden and lemon zest. A fine veil of cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon and anise adds dynamism and carries the wine through tinto its long finish."
