This Pinot Noir is made with grapes from the top vineyards Dechant and Käferberg.
The Dechant vineyard soils are comprised of calcareous loess-clay and clay with ancient rock and gravel deposits higher up on the south-east facing slope.
The Käferberg vineyard is located at the top of an eastern slope – about 300 meters above sea level – in the town of Langenlois. The soil is layers of sand, primary rock and calcareous marine deposits.
