"I loved the 2021 Pinot Noir Estate, a rounded, medium-bodied, complex effort that has assorted sweet cherry and raspberry fruit, some spicy, herbal nuances, ripe tannins, and a lengthy finish. It's not the most complex or layered Pinot Noir out there, but it sure is fun to drink."

"The 2021 Pinot Noir Estate is a very pretty, sensual wine. Crushed red cherry fruit, kirsch, mint, blood orange, spice and dried flowers all grace this silky, open-knit Pinot. The translucent, soft style is quite appealing."

"The Talley,s bottlings of pinot noir and chardonnay center around their two oldest blocks, Rincon and Rosemary,s, each of which capture subtle differences of exposure and the composition of their seabed soils, calcareous clays and shale loam. This wine includes contributions from both sites well as from Stone Corral Vineyard, in the Edna Valley. Eric Johnson makes this wine, now bearing the SLO Coast appellation (an AVA approved in 2022). It,s all raspberry bramble and dark cherry in this moment, a modest whole-cluster savor (just 10 percent) pushing the brambly vibe. The fruit is dark and pure, a comfortable, enveloping saturation of flavor, and a pairing for grilled quail. ‡P.J.C."

"This is a brilliant appellation cuv,e, starting with aromas of cinnamon, rosewater, red plum and strawberry on the nose. The palate lands with smooth, polished tannins, presenting creamy cherry sorbet, red flower and white pepper flavors, both juicy and restrained. ‡ Matt Kettmann"
