"The 2023 Verdelho mixes grapes from old and younger vines. It's vibrant, tasty and salty. It comes from vines on volcanic lajido soils in Santa Lucia and Criação Velha, very close to the sea, and shows the more Atlantic side of the grape with freshness and salinity. The full clusters were pressed and the juice left to settle and ferment in stainless steel (80%) and barrels (20%), where it was kept with fine lees for eight months. It comes in at a moderate 12% alcohol, with a pH of 3.39 and 6.58 grams of acidity, coming through as velvety and balanced, with a salty twist in the finish. 6,909 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024."
