"The 2023 Arinto dos Açores shows the concentration and minerality of the grapes from old vines in Criação Velha, which is the part of the island that retained the vines when the variety was wiped out from other zones. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in mostly oak vats, except for 26% in stainless steel and 5% in 500-liter barrels, and it matured in those vats for eight months with fine lees. The wine is pale, expressive and harmonious, clean and serious, with a vibrant palate with saltiness, contained ripeness and 12% alcohol, a pH of 3.4 and 6.48 grams of acidity. A total of 10,472 bottles were produced. It was bottled in June 2024."
