Schneider Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Spätlese

Schneider Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Sptlese

The oldest recorded vineyards of the Nahe are located in this part of Norheim. Kirsche means “cherry”, so the old name of the site suggests that wild cherries grew among the vineyards. The soils of the purely south-facing site are composed largely of grey slate, mixed with sandstone.

"What a beautiful nose of ripe white peach and blossom aromas this excellent riesling Spatlese has! Super-bright and clean this has a staggering freshness and helps carry the imposing concentration. Very long and very animating acidity. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"A super-juicy riesling Spatlese with fantastic brilliance. The purity on the focused, medium-bodied palate is so exciting and the racy acidity drives this relentlessly forward. Extremely long and bright finish with lime notes. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"The 2023 Riesling Norheimer Kirschheck Spätlese is shy on the nose. A touch of juice on the palate is rounded with beautiful orange freshness and balance, like a veil of orange flesh and zest. The finish is fine, crisp and long. The 2023 is tart and gorgeous, with 72 g/L of residual sweetness and more than 9 g/L of acid. Sweet"
