'Lachigui, Miahuatlan', Mezcal, Nuestra Soledad
Nuestra Soledad is the “Single Village” lineup, brought to us by the Cortes Family. All the mezcals in this line are distilled from cultivated Espadín, typically around 10 years of age. The major difference from bottle to bottle is the village where these mezcales have been distilled. Elevation, wood, water source, yeast and other terroir driven attributes are easily identifiable when tasting the Nuestra lineup side by side.

Lachigui is more a ‘rancho’ or ‘campo’ than it is a village, located in the mountainous district of Miahuatlan. 4 hours of mountainous roads lead you to this tiny palenque where a combination of wild and cultivated magueys are being transformed into some of the most transcending spirits/experiences you can imbibe. This Espadin is high toned, with notes of freshly cut grass, mint and under ripe banana. Richly aromatic with notes of wet earth, fresh cherries, cedar wood and cigar box, peppery and green on the palate with bright, citric acidity and a long, dry earthy finish.
ABV: 49% (batches are distilled to proof, ABV may vary slightly)
