"A tangy, peppery malbec with wild herbs, lavender and stones to the brooding dark fruit. As fresh and taut on the palate as it is on the nose. The palate is very compact and structured with plenty of fine-grained tannins. Concentrated, dense but super fresh and appetizing. Drink now."

"Fresh blackberries, spiced dark fruit, oranges, hazelnut chocolate and a touch of waffles. More of a classic style but so expressive and well made, with superfine tannins and a very long finish."

"The 2022 Vinas Viejas En Pie Franco Malbec expertly renders the seamless depth and gravitas afforded by old vines with the precise, delineated profile one can routinely expect from Riccitelli. It leads with a quintessentially fragrant, inky and elegant bouquet of concentrated black fruit aromas that retain energy and vibrancy despite their immense concentration, followed by a sumptuous, enveloping and saturated mouthfeel. The steady and substantial finish aptly combines considerable richness with restraint and articulation, lingering with ultra-refined, abundant tannins laced with discreet mineral notes and pure fruit flavors."
