"The 2022 Grüner Veltliner Lamm was fermented in stainless steel and matured half in stainless steel, half in acacia barrel. The nose opens with moss, ivy, crushed chervil and just a little sage. These notions are bedded on yeast and framed with citrus, coming to the fore on the beautifully salty palate. This is a tingling blanket of yeastiness that is alive with lemon and pepper—textural, smooth, cooling, vivid. All the roundness of Gruner is here but in a beautifully svelte and linear package. The finish is resonant and seems to expand, ringing long afterwards. (Bone-dry)"

"Hirsch's citrus-colored Kammern 2022 Grüner Veltliner Ried Lamm 1–TW opens with a medium-intense, fresh and finely spicy bouquet of citrusy white fruits, lentils and crushed almonds. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, this is a lush, quite dense and elegant Lamm with delicate tannins and tart lime bitters on the finish that reveals fine, mineral acidity and medium length. This is a very elegant Veltliner to be paired with spicy yet too hot and spicy dishes. 13% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in December 2023."

"Very youthful but with great refinement, concentration and a really firm structure, this gruner veltliner from the famous Lamm vineyard has been built for the ages. More lemon blossom than lemon with deep minerality and fine tannins in the extremely long and silky finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification."

"Gentle, creamy aroma gives way to tangy stony/mineral herbal note. Already showing some complexity. Firm, creamy, generous yet relatively soft in terms of acidity – at least in perception of acidity, though there is a kick of freshness at the very end. (JH)"
