"Oxidative in style, with intense ripeness and juicy fruit. Ripe, fleshy apricots and opulent fruits are well balanced by refreshing acidity. The palate shows creamy richness and pronounced aromatics. Persistent finish. The adventurous team at Vassaltis picks the grapes at night to retain fresh aromatics."

"Fruit smells riper, almost tropical, compared with the straight Santorini Assyrtiko. But also honeyed citrus without sweetness. Still with all the stony character of Santorini. More grip in the texture, excellent freshness and plenty of tension even with the lees richness. Deep, long and intensely fresh with a salty aftertaste. Complementary ripe fruit and freshness/minerality. Long, saline finish. (JH)"
