"From the Naoussa area under the Imathia PGI, the Kir-Yianni 2022 The Fallen Oak blends 50% Xinomavro, 30% Merlot and 20% Syrah. The warm vintage shows in the wine's generous aromas of dried fruit, dates and sweet fig, yet the palate remains fresh and firmly structured, closing with more tension than the bouquet suggests. Aged for up to 10 months in French oak, it balances ripe fruit, savory complexity and polished tannins. Named after the historic oak tree that fell on the estate during a storm in 2019, the wine symbolizes renewal while bridging Xinomavro with a Rhône-inspired blending philosophy. Production totals 90,000 bottles, including larger formats."
