China China Amer, Bigallet

The high orange note present in the China-China comes from a process of distilling orange peel maceration three times in copper alembic stills. To get this unique flavor, Bigallet uses both sweet oranges from Valencia and bitter oranges from the former Dutch island colony of Curaçao. Other aromatic ingredients in the China-China include anise, cinchona, gentian, clove, and other spices.

Tasting Notes
The China-China Amer has warm orange aromatics with earthy vegetal notes and subtle spices. The palate shows more of the bitter orange and spice, with hints of herbs and mint.
Produced by Bigallet since 1875, Viriana China China is made from a blend of sweet and bitter orange peels macerated in beet neutral alcohol and re-distilled in alembic stills, along with plants, seeds and spices including gentian and cinchona bark (quinine), where this amer takes its name. 40% ABV
