"The 2020 Blanc de Blancs Le Mesnil-sur-Oger Chemin de Châlons, sourced from an old massal selection in a southeast-facing plot located next to Chétillon, is another success this year. Disgorged in May 2024 without dosage and matured for a full year in oak barrels (about 20% new), it delivers a more demonstrative, muscular Le Mesnil interpretation compared to Auge, informed by a bit deeper clay topsoil and a warmer mesoclimate. Marine Vincey reveals that fruit in Chemin de Châlons reaches full maturity about six days earlier than in Auge. Jumping from the glass with scents of yellow stone fruit, beeswax and brioche, it's a textural, fleshy wine with ripe but lively acidity, complemented by pillowy mousse."

"The 2018 Brut Nature Chardonnay Le Mesnil-sur-Oger Grand Cru was vinified in oak and tirage under natural cork. Creamy, slightly vanilla-tinged short crust and apple notes on the nose have a lemon sheen. Oaky creaminess also frames the concentrated yet slender palate where fine mousse highlights the austere freshness and depth of pure chalk. The finish has incipient umami depth that lingers beautifully. Another year in bottle will do wonders for this. The finish with its mouth-filling aroma promises as much. Zero dosage. Disgorged: July, 2023. - Anne Krebiehl MW"
