"The 2018 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict, sourced from the old, ungrafted vines, has pretty notes of pears, white blossoms, hazelnut and stone, with a silky, expansive palate that offers up an array of citrus, flowers, flint and nutty tones. It's tangy, salty and super bright and finishes long and uplifted. Lovely! Give it another 2-3 years in bottle unless you love that bright, youthful character. 411 cases produced."

"The 2017 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict slowly blossoms with aromas of baker's yeast, Bosc pear, Greek yogurt, crushed stone and orange blossom with pie crust, warm apples, white peach plus notes of mushroom and hay. Light to medium-bodied with an intense core of nuanced fruit, it has juicy acidity and a long, spicy and textured finish. 273 cases produced."

Chamomile, dried flowers, sage and lemon confit all meld together in a delicious, supple Chardonnay that will drink well with minimal cellaring. The 2017 is perhaps not quite as delineated as it can be, but it is absolutely delicious and very easy to like."
