"The 2024 Carignane (Contra Costa County) is a dense, brooding wine. A blast of dark cherry, plum, incense, new leather, tobacco and espresso stains the palate. This ample, full-bodied Carignane is bursting at the seams with intense, dark-toned fruit. It's a truly special wine in every way. The 2024 builds impressively into the mid-palate and finish. What a total stunner."

"The 2023 Carignane (Contra Costa County) is a potent, explosive wine. Tiny yields produced an exceptionally deep, concentrated Carignane. Black fruit, leather, menthol, licorice and mocha are all dialed up to the maximum. Pretty floral overtones from the whole clusters lend notable brightness. All this needs is time to shed some baby fat."
