Schlossberg is mineral to the MAX! A great Grand Cru site composed of medium-grained Devonian slate as topsoil with a deeper subsoil of decomposed slate mixed with loam.

"Pump up the volume! This dry riesling is extraordinarily structured and powerful for a Mosel wine, with great earthy complexity plus a wealth of citrus fruit and a touch of spring blossoms. Still quite tightly wound on the concentrated, compact, medium- to full-bodied palate, The very long and intense dark finish makes it clear that this is made for the long term and will greatly reward patience. Drinkable now, but best from 2027."

"The 2023 Riesling Bömer trocken, a single parcel in the lower reaches of the Schlossberg, has been made separately as a dry wine for years. Subtle oaky creaminess from four- and five-year-old Fuder is apparent on the gentle, smooth nose. The palate is bright, lemony, beautifully soothingly creamy and so fresh. This wine has beautiful depth with gentle lemony highlights that tingle on the finish, which seems lit by cool superbly bright sunlight. The finish is all lemon."

"The 2023 Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling trocken Bömer is bright in color, with flavors that are herbal and intertwined with weathered slate aromas. It's still quite reductive, though. Lush, refined and intense on the palate, this is a full-bodied, seriously saline and mineral Riesling with a quite sharp finish. Only one single fuder is produced every year (1,300 bottles). 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in January 2026."

"The 2024 Riesling Bömer trocken is from a special parcel within the Zeltinger Schlossberg, close to the village and warm. Only the merest flicker of flint blends with supple, ripe lemon notes on the nose, kissed by oak creaminess. This is understated with smooth, serene flow. Depth and gentleness are apparent in that profound texture. The 2024 speaks of calmness and longevity. Once again, it is perfectly understated. Bone-dry"

"The 2022 Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling trocken Bömer is pure and intense on the very fine, mineral and saline/flinty nose. Rich and generous on the palate, with aromatic white stone fruit aromas (peaches, nectarines, yellow plums), this is an intense, round and concentrated, juicy but refined and saline Schlossberg from a parcel on the lower part of the cru. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in November 2023."
