Bernard Boudouresques and his family have recently revived the domaine, planting vineyards and converting the estate to organic viticulture. The domaine lies at the extreme south of the Massif Centrale, in the gently sloping foothills that lead to the nearby Mediterranean coast.
Château Simone encompasses twenty hectares of vineyards that sit on limestone soils at elevations between 500 and 750 feet above sea level on the slopes of Montaiguet. This special microclimate is influenced by the encircling pine forests, the mass of Mont Sainte-Victoire, and the Arc River.

Between the Corbières and Minervois, 12 miles from Carcassonne and 25 from the Mediterranean, lies the Ferrandière Estate. Domaine de la Ferrandière specializes in “Pays d’Oc” mono-cepage wines. Currently growing under their 70 hectares of vines are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, & more.
Faillenc Sainte Marie is a small property, with only 8 hectares of vineyards stubbornly clinging to the rocky foothills of Mont Alaric. The vineyards are buffeted by the northerwesterly Tramontane wind which blows over Alaric and by the southerly Autan breezes coming off the nearby Mediterranean.
