Felipe Ramirez founded Dominio del Cuarzo in 2019. He currently produces two cuvees from two small vineyards in Itata. The Pais is from Nipas on basalt and the cinsault is from Guarilihue on granite. Both vineyards consist of old bush vines that are farmed organically and without irrigation.
Holding one of the few PhDs in Terroir in the world, Pedro Parra first made name for himself as a consultant. This project is the realization of Pedro's dream to produce wines in the Itata region he calls home. Native yeasts, sustainable farming, and saline expressions of old-vine Cinsault and Pais.
