We’re proud to announce that Clos Mogador and Espe

We’re proud to announce that Clos Mogador and Espectacle are now part of our California portfolio. While this is a new partnership for us in California, our relationship with the Barbier family stretches back more than 30 years on the East Coast.

When René Barbier Ferrer arrived in Priorat in 1979, the region was a sleepy corner of Catalonia with little international attention. Just a decade later, a small group of ambitious growers around Gratallops—including Barbier—captivated the wine world with a series of groundbreaking “Clos” wines that helped spark Priorat’s modern renaissance.

Today, the second generation continues the legacy at Clos Mogador, farming superb steep sites on llicorella slate soils and crafting wines that remain among the most profound expressions of the Mediterranean. The tiny-production Espectacle, sourced from a breathtaking century-old Garnatxa vineyard on the northern edge of Montsant, is equally singular.

We’re honored to bring these benchmark expressions of Priorat and Montsant to California.
