"A super-balanced, fresh and acid-driven wine that's tangy and full-bodied but not at all heavy or overly tannic. The only zinfandel to be made from the famous cabernet-heavy Stagecoach Vineyard on a mountain overlooking Napa Valley. A unique wine that's brilliant and memorable. Drink now or hold."

"The 2023 Zinfandel Stagecoach Vineyard is another highlight in this range. Bright saline notes cut through a core of blue/purplish fruits. Readers will find a brilliant, salivating Zinfandel endowed with tons of mountain character. Far from an easygoing wine, the Stagecoach needs time and, ideally, food at the dinner table. There's a lot of wine here."

"Polished yet muscular at the core, with brooding flavors of blackberry and cherry accented by underbrush, savory mint and river stone tones as this builds toward broad-shouldered tannins. Hands off for now. 600 cases made. - TF"

"One of the few Biale Zins to come from relatively young vines, the medium to full-bodied 2023 Zinfandel Stagecoach Vineyard is a tight, taut offering, loaded with bright cherries and raspberries and framed by dusty tannins and mouthwatering acids. Give it another couple of years to loosen up and then drink it over the next several years after that."

"From relatively young vines by Zinfandel standards (this block was planted to heritage selections in 1999), Biale's 2021 Zinfandel Stagecoach Vineyard features a fun mix of red raspberries and blackberries, with hints of citrus and black tea in the mix. Aged similarly to the other Zins in the lineup (10 months in French oak, 25% new), it shows the cedary wood a bit more, and combined with the site's inherent structure, the resulting tannins are a bit firm at the moment. Give it another year or two."

"A generous zin with a contrast of candied- and sour-cherry flavors, this is supple, black and brown, ending on dusty grape-skin tannins that give it shape and a bite, for flank steak."
