"The 2023 Zinfandel (Lodi) is without question the darkest and most concentrated Sandlands wines I have tasted from this site. Black cherry, plum, new leather, licorice soar from the glass. The 2023 gorgeous, but it very much on the ample side."

"The 2022 Zinfandel Kirschenmann is a bit richer than most years, but that's not a bad thing. Pliant and generous, the 2022 is super-expressive. Succulent red cherry, cedar, pipe tobacco, incense and licorice build effortlessly in the glass. There's terrific textural resonance and creaminess to support years of fine drinking."
