"From more gravelly soils and vines planted in 1902, the 2023 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard is a blend of Zinfandel, Trousseau Noir, and Carignan from one of the best soils Turley works with. Dark stones, olive tones, and a touch of reduction emerge. Medium to full-bodied, the wine has stunning vibrancy, complexity, polish, and focus while remaining light on its feet. This was the best wine for me at this tasting. It has decadent but refined tannins and a long finish. Drink over the coming two or more decades. This is a steal."

"Brooding at the core yet rich in texture, with potent blackberry, bittersweet chocolate and licorice flavors that build structure and tannins on the finish. 740 cases made. - TF"

"The 2023 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard shows the pedigree of this great site. Bright and punchy, with notable dimension, the 2023 has so much to offer. Red-toned fruit, rose petal, wildflowers, mint and spice show superb delineation and intensity. The Hayne is totally beguiling and so classy."
