"The 2021 Malbec Volar, del Camino hails from a tiny calcareous plot in the Monasterio vineyard in Gualtallary, Uco Valley and was aged in neutral, used French oak. A rich purple in hue. The nose presents alluring fruity aromas ranging from crushed plum to blueberry and hints of sage and violet. Delicate and ethereal on the palate, the lean, refreshing flow amplifies the perfumed, long-lasting finish. Recently bottled, this is a subtle, high-altitude Malbec."

"The 2021 Volare del Camino originates from a single parcel of vines in the Vi¤a Unica del Monasterio surrounded by coniferous trees. As is typical for Per Se, it was destemmed, fermented in concrete vats and aged for 16 months in 225-liter used barrels. It offers the most Burgundian and understated profile of the roster, leading with a wonderfully floral, seductive bouquet of red fruits and fresh flowers. The palate is silky and delicate, seamlessly transitioning to a slow-moving, elegantly rich, nuanced conclusion with nearly imperceptible tannins that still grip and elongate the finish. A distinctive wine within a fantastic lineup, I look forward to seeing how this develops over the coming decade."
