"The 2024 Vinho Verde Rosé Escudo Real seems practically alive in the glass as it vibrates with tiny, scintillating bubbles that tickle every corner of the mouth. This tastes like you squeezed a lime on a slice of fresh summer watermelon, finishing it with some fat flakes of Maldon salt and washing it all down with a Topo Chico sparkling mineral water. It™s a style that I find tremendously appealing, and if you™re drinking it chilled outside in the dog days of summer, I bet you will too."

"The 2025 Vinho Verde Rose Escudo Real is once again supremely delicious and distinctive, reflecting the same watermelon-margarita-like character it did in 2024. Floral-tinged notes of hibiscus, black pepper, blood orange peel, lime and sea salt elevate a vibrant, tingly mouthfeel. A lovely mousse-like spritz lends texture and body. The Quinta da Lixa Escudo Real is one of my favorites of the year."
