"The 2020 A Torre was produced with Alvarinho from the Quinta da Torre property where they selected the very best grapes from granitic soils with a sandy-loam texture, from a selection of older vineyard plots with low to medium clay content. It fermented in used 400-liter barrels, where the wine matured with the full lees for nine months. It has the complex nose of great Alvarinho after some years in bottle‡ mellow, faintly balsamic and medicinal, complex, clean and elegant without any oxidation. It comes in at 12.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.38 and six grams of acidity. It's ready but should continue developing in bottle. 4,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2021."

"Dried peaches, honey, white flowers and hints of nectarines and grapefruit zest on the nose. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, incisive and concentrated, with a ripe core that expands gracefully in the finish. Beautifully balanced between richness, fruit and acidity. This comes from a single parcel within a single vineyard in Moncao. Fermented and aged for nine months in used barrels, followed by bottle aging for four years. Drink now."

"The 2019 A Torre is a new Alvarinho, sourced from the Quinta da Torre property. They selected the very best bunches, the ripest from each plant, using the eight different soils/textures they have. It fermented in used 400-liter barrels, where the wine matured with the full lees for nine months. It has a bright almost fluorescent color and complexity, depth, clout, freshness and elegance, with a lot of subtleness and notes of truffle, spices and herbs. The super-balanced palate has citrus freshness, tangerine, herbs and a salty twist. This goes way beyond being a varietal wine‡it's elegant, mineral and complex, one of the best Alvarinho/Albari¤o wines in the world. There is a crystalline purity here that is breathtaking. For Anselmo Mendez, 2019 was an exceptional year, and the wine should be truly long lived. 4,000 bottles were filled in June 2020 and kept for no less than 54 months in bottle before it was released in early 2025."
