"Pouring a medium golden color, the 2020 Champagne Premier Cru Taissy Vieilles Vignes Meunier Extra Brut was barrel fermented and aged for 48 months on the lees. It comes from the Lieu-dit of Les Dessus De Monthouzons, which was planted in 1963. The nose is very elegant and pretty, revealing notes of petrichor and wet stones, dried peach, dried citrus, and grapefruit oils. Full-bodied but structured, it has a compact citrus oil texture with salty earth and ripe notes of strawberries, black cherries, and delicate spices accenting the palate. The mousse is refined and enhances the wine's natural spice, with a long, focused finish on the palate. Drink 2026-2040."

"The 2020 Extra Brut Taissy Premier Cru, 100% Meunier, is laced with hints of dried pear, crushed flowers, chamomile, mint and light caramel notes. The 2020 is nicely lifted and very pretty. I find the oak a bit pronounced at the outset, but its balance is nevertheless quite attractive, especially with some air. These vines in the Dessus de Monthouzons lieu-dit were planted in 1963. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: July 2025."

"A crunchy and solid pinot meunier with sliced-apple and ripe-pear aromas and flavors. Full-bodied and layered with lots of fruit but well-framed and powerful. Chalky and intense. Salty at the end. Drink now."

"Disgorged in November 2023 with a dosage of two grams per liter, Paillard's 2019 Taissy Premier Cru derives from old-vine Pinot Meunier, planted in 1963, sourced from the west-facing lieu-dit Les Dessus de Monthouzons in Taissy. The vineyard is distinguished by shallow, 50-centimeter layers of clay and limestone topsoil. Upon pouring, the wine unfolds to reveal a rich bouquet of red apple and dried apricot, mingling with delicate notes of sweet pastries and clear honey. Full-bodied and muscular, it is charming and pillowy, expansive and textural, with succulent yet vibrant acidity and a lingering, perfumed finish. Structurally, it presents a more generous profile, with less tension than the Ludes bottling"another Pinot Meunier-based cuvée, which is sourced from purchased fruit."
