"The Keermont Vineyards 2018 Stellenbosch Keermont Syrah is a medium- to full-bodied wine with ripe aromas of sweet cherry, spice, baked plum and scorched earth. There are hints of raisin and prune, but the wine also shows dried herb. It is predominantly Syrah or, more specifically, 89% Syrah and 11% Mourvèdre. A small portion of whole-bunch fruit is used, and the wine ferments with wild yeasts. It ages in barrel for 22 months and stays in bottle for three years before its commercial release. Production is 13,074 bottles."

"A full-bodied syrah that exudes notes of mocha, black cherries, cracked pepper and coffee beans. Sleek and dark-fruited with excellent composure. Drink now or hold."
