"From the younger Gestad parcel with up to 12-year-old vines and aged in old pièces, the 2021 Syrah GE opens with a clear, fresh and intense, well-concentrated bouquet of dark fruits and peppers. Silky, fresh and elegant on the palate, this is a straight, saline, finely tannic and enormously vital Syrah with fine and refreshing tannins and a very good, tensile and saline finish. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in February 2024."

"Mid crimson. A touch stemmy and peppery. A masterpiece of freshness. Refined tannins, with such a delicate purity to the wine as a whole. Restrained and herb-inflected but not unripe. (JH)"
