• A crisp slice of tart green apple and fresh cut herbs open, deepening into French toast followed by candied pears, honeycomb, and fresh cereal grain, with prickles of white pepper. Citrus zest—lightly accented with baking spice—extends the finish.

The third-largest distillery operating in the Diageo stable today—with in-house bottlings consisting only of a ten-year, age-stated release in the Flora & Fauna Series and a limited 17-year-old releaset in the Special Releases series—Teaninich is notable chiefly for its sizeable output. That said, ultra-clear wort and fat stills combine to create a lively, grassy spirit with a pleasing oily roundness that—along with an extensive use of ex-bourbon barrels for maturation—yields a distinctive, charming spirit that has been a steady target of independent bottlers.
