"The Knewitz family has been making wine in Appenheim, a small village in Germany™s Rheinhessen region, since the 19th century. This dry expression offers savory, herbaceous notes alongside classic apple and bruised pear. Bright and refreshing, it finishes with a clean, even texture."

"Crisp, forthright pear fruit, grapefruit zest, smoke and lees aromas are wrapped around the bright acidity and chalky minerality of the barely medium-bodied palate. A zesty and harmonious finish. 70% from GG sites, and all from organically grown grapes. A cuvee of 50 varietals, many of which were fermented and matured in large neutral oak, the rest in stainless steel. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"This excellent entry-level dry riesling is brimming with stone and citrus fruit flavors on the beautifully balanced, medium-bodied palate. Not a jot loud, and the interplay of restrained creaminess with ripe acidity and fine tannins is as much responsible for the wine™s appeal as the aromas. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"The 2023 Riesling is from across the Welzbach valley, fermented 60% in stainless steel with the rest in Stück and Doppelstück. Flinty, smoky reduction is alive and kicking on the nose. The palate brings vivid tangerine and mandarin, all juicy, vivid and incredibly animating. It tapers to fine, taut citrus toward the finish. (Bone-dry)"

"Traces of the spontaneous fermentation on the nose. But lots of intensity and confidence. Still very youthful but with real energy here. Pungent finish."

"Crisp, light and delicate, good intensity from the acidity drives the flavors of pear and quince, with citrus details lingering on the linear but superlong finish. Skurnik Wines, Inc. "A.Z."

"Very pure and impressive. Approachable and just what you want from a dry Riesling. Lime fruit. Bone-dry end. VGV (JR)"
