"From the long, southeast-facing slope between Gumpoldskirchen and Guntramsdorf comes Reinisch's 2020 Gumpoldskirchen Pinot Noir, a long-established red that was known as Grillenhügel before. Aged in low-toasted oak barrels of different seizes for 16 months, the 2020 offers a clear, pure, fresh and aromatic, rather coolish bouquet of ripe and concentrated red fruits intermingled with tart spicy aromas. Silky and very elegant on the palate, this is a full-bodied, refined and sustainable Pinot with finely grained tannins and a serious mineral substance and structure. The finish is pure, fresh and stimulatingly grippy. This is an excellent Pinot from Gumpoldskirchen. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in January 2023."
