"The 2021 El Espino comes from a 25-year-old vineyard. It was aged 12 months in used barrels and shows fruit at the core‡black cherry‡with a delicate balsamic touch, soft wood and a pleasant overall profile. The fruit is precise. This is a medium-bodied wine with a delicate juicy note and fine tannins. Well made, ending on a lightly juicy note."

"Nice cedary oak with some cigar box and chocolate to the fresh blackberries. A fresher, full-bodied Ribera del Duero here that shows weight and structure but also good drinkability with fine, gritty tannins. Drink or hold."

"A tightly knit red, with a core of fine, chalky tannins enmeshed with a plush texture and a pretty flavor range of chopped black cherry and dried fig.
