"The 2021 Lacima, a red from a six lieux-dits planted with Menc¡a and some other varieties, is quite expressive and showy, with some smoky undertones and a spicy twist, neatly integrated with ripe berry fruit and exotic herbs. It's medium-bodied, with some creaminess and some fine and slightly dusty tannins. It has contained ripeness and alcohol, 13%, with mellow acidity. It had a long ,levage of 21 months in used French oak barrels and another nine months in oak foudres. 5,021 bottles and 180 magnums produced. It was bottled in May 2024."

"The 2020 LaCima is 85% Mencía with other red varieties from Ribeira Sacra. This was sourced from the highest vineyards at 500 to 700 meters in elevation. It presents delicate red fruit aromas with hints of herbs, mint, pomegranate and a touch of black fruit. There's an appealing concentration that defines the plush palate, with light richness and vivid flavor. This is long and gently grippy. The 2020 is a modern style that captures the area's riper side with a talc-like texture."

"An expressive wine. Mineral nose with a touch of truffle, delicate spicy notes, and extremely smooth tannins. A delight with great depth. It is the total charm that can be extracted from Menc¡a. Very flattering and layered. (FC)"

"I love the decadent and ripe nose of the 2019 Lacima, which contrasts with the moderate 13.5% alcohol that gives it a more austere palate. With time in the glass, it opens up to floral aromas, hints of herbs and wet slate. The tactile sensation is fantastic, with powdery minerality and a dry finish. It's a very serious vintage of Lacima."
