"The nose of the 2024 Finca O Pereiro is flinty and smoky. This was produced with grapes from vines planted in 2004 in the Ría de Arousa on the clay-rich parts of the property, which is very close to the sea, some 200 meters away. The wine matured in a 5,000-liter oak foudre, and it has nuance, complexity and depth that show how the place is more important than vine age. It has good ripeness but keeps the tension, and it has great harmony and a tasty and salty finish. This is extremely young but already harmonious and with the stuffing and balance to develop nicely in bottle."

"Finca O Pereiro shows that you don,t need old vines to make stunning Albari¤os. Plantedin 2004 on clay-dominated soils close to the sea in Castrelo, it's a world-class white at aneminently affordable price. Subtly wooded in larger foudres, it's saline and nettley withwonderful extract and concentration, flavours of lime and elderflower and a finish thatlingers hauntingly on the palate. 2024-30"

"The stony and mineral 2023 Finca O Pereiro comes from a plot that was planted in 2004 on clay soils that usually give it more weight on the palate, but this year I find it to be very streamlined, austere and mineral, very tasty, almost salty. It fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts‡like all the wines here‡and halfway through the fermentation, it was transferred to oak foudre where it matured for nine months. It has 13% alcohol and a pH of 3.24, keeping 6.1 grams of acidity. It is complex, deep and harmonious, with clout and elegance and a vibrant and salty mouthfeel. 6,666 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024."

"This has an expressive nose of white flowers, grapefruit and a hint of sea stones. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with fresh acidity and an austere profile that requires some time. From a single vineyard planted on deep clay soils. This was fermented and aged in a 2,500-liter foudre. Better from 2025."

"The 2023 Albariño Finca O Pereiro, from Castrelo, Salnés, Rías Baixas grows on sandy, clay-rich soils once touched by the sea. It offers an appealing reductive note and moderate aromas. On the palate, salinity, freshness and tension balance a fatty, voluptuous character. Intriguing and delicious."
