"#13 Top 100 Wines of Spain 2025: This is unique, with an herbal character and a distinct nose of fresh herbs and white fruit that's very attractive and saline. Precise, incisive and well balanced. The palate is nervy and intense yet delicate, showing nuanced flavors with a saline thread throughout. From a 35-year-old, 0.7-hectare plot planted on schist soil. Aged for 12 months in used French oak. Drink now or hold."

"The nose of the 2023 A Cesteira transported me to the Albariños from yesteryear, fragrant and developed, open, expressive and nuanced, mixing notions of freshly cut grass with flowers, yellow fruit and pollen. It's Albariño from a single plot on schist and clay soils from vines averaging 45 years of age, fermented in stainless steel and matured in 2,500-liter oak foudre for 10 months. It has fine granularity, an incredible texture, sleek and polished, smooth and elegant. All the whites show contained ripeness and around 13% alcohol, like this one, which has a pH of 3.36 and 7.7 grams of acidity. 4,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2024."

"A Cesteira hails from a single parcel in Sanxenxo called Gondar, which faces north on schist and clay soils. Fennel and sea breeze aromas lead you briskly into a palate of yeast, citrus zest and fresh bread, with waxy appeal, the acidity you'd expect from a cool site and a salted almond finish. The wood is very understated here. 2025-29"

"The 2023 Albariño A Cesteira is from Sanxenxo, Rías Baixas. This aged in a 2,500-liter foudre. It opens with dried leaf notes and ripe, peach-like fruit, with oak lending intensity. Medium-creamy and delicately expressed, the barrel age brings a touch of grip along with malic notes. It is fresh and intense, with an oaky finish."
