"The 2022 Sweet Berry Wine is a blend of 59% Zinfandel, 27% Carignan, 7% Valdiguié and 7% Charbono from the Gary Venturi vineyard Mendocino County. Don™t be fooled by the name"this is a crunchy, chewy, slightly rustic wine that is utterly crushable but also quite serious. Red licorice, rose petal, orange peel, bright red cherry, wild strawberry and new leather tones dance across the palate, hemmed in by a kick of powdery tannin and enlivened by absolutely mouthwatering acids. Old-school California character in spades."
