"The 2023 Dido is another of the producer,s substantially impressive efforts to elevate Garnatxa grown in granitic sandy soils from Montsant, which are more rarely found here than in Priorat. Fresh and balanced, it is aged 20 months in a good amount of concrete to further push the vitality and leanness of the wine, a showcase of iron and meat with firm tannins and savory, spicy dark fruit. This is such an outstanding wine; it should hit its ideal drinking window 2030-2040."

"The 2023 Dido from Montsant blends Macabeu, Garnatxa Blanca and Cartoixà, with brisat-style vinification on the Macabeu. Orange notes, reduction, soft apricot and grated apple open the wine. It is expressive and energetic, with grip, compact freshness and an alcoholic push reflecting the vintage. A flavorful white."

"Tasting the red 2022 Dido next to the 2021 was a revelation of how transparent this wine is with the character of the year. This is darker, with a fruit-driven nose with darker berry fruit and a more voluptuous palate, reflecting the warmer and drier year. It's a wine with more ripeness and higher alcohol (13.26%) and a rounder mouthfeel, with glossier tannins, even if they harvested a little earlier and do shorter macerations or use a higher percentage of carbonic maceration."

"A well-spiced red that's light on its feet, this fresh, medium-bodied example offers crushed raspberry and strawberry fruit, dried rosemary and lavender, milled pepper, graphite and mineral notes. Lightly chewy on the lingering finish. Grenache, Carinyena, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2031. 8,400 cases made, 1,100 cases imported. –AN"
