"The 2023 Mataro (San Benito County) is a bit more delicate and floral than the Contra Costa Mataro, but this is not a shy wine by any means. It emerges from Enz vineyard, a site near Calera planted in 1923 on limestone and granite soils. Clean mineral notes, chalk, white pepper and spice lend tons of complexity. The San Benito Mataro is another gorgeous, vivid wine from Tegan Passalacqua."
