Red Monkey is takju aka. makgoelli made with rice,water, and red yeast rice powder. Red yeast is inoculated in rice grain that turns the color into bright crimson color. It has natural sweetness coming from rice that gives overall balance with fresh acidity. It has unique flavors of fruits such as strawberry and raspberry with dried rose petals despite it only contains rice, nuruk, and red yeast rice powder.
