"This cool white has flint, white pepper, fennel, star fruit, grapefruit rind and ripe apple aromas with a touch of quince. It™s full-bodied but elegant at the same time, with a supple texture. Wonderfully long, ripe and silky finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"The 2024 Grüner Veltliner Privat Ried Pellingen comes from a mica-schist site in Imbach facing south. It was fermented in a used, large acacia barrel. A touch of creaminess is hinted at on the shy nose, which also shows the freshness of a spring meadow with white flowers. Slightly salty yeast appears as well. The palate reveals a gorgeous, spicy core of white pepper. All savor is packed in gentle creaminess, most enticing and elongated on the smooth yet svelte palate."

"So rich and silky, yet so elegant, this great cool-climate gruner veltliner has fabulous grapefruit and pomelo aromas married to herb-garden freshness. I love the way it glides over the medium-bodied palate and off into the distance as if floating on air."

"The 2023 Grüner Veltliner Ried Pellingen Privat has a gentle creaminess on the nose and a slight notion of pear fruit. More air reveals a touch of fennel seed. Slenderness and suppleness define the palate, which has a vein of ripe lemon zest at its core, with supple pepperiness that really lasts. (Bone-dry)"

"Flinty and smoky, opening up to reveal a core of ripe orchard fruit and jasmine, woven with snap pea and sage, plus a cooling menthol blast and spicy white pepper. Silky in feel, with a caressing texture, yet hums with energy through the long, winding close. Drink now through 2030. 15 cases imported."

"Vibrant, with smoky mineral and expressive flavors of peach, quince, apricot and lychee. It shows good intensity, with a mineral grip and a long finish of white pepper. " Aleks Zecevic"

"Fruitier, brighter and jauntier than the Kirchenberg, which makes sense as it comes from the lower part of the slope (Riesling gets the rockier soil up top). It's juicy and thirst-quenching, with lots of ripe citrus, juicy pear and some fleshy nectarine. Hints of herbs give it delicacy as well as a sense of lift and fun. Will likely age well but I'd drink it now for its sheer drinkability. (TQT)"
