"The 2024 Riesling Dhroner Hofberg Alte Reben Kabinett is shy on the nose. It teases with arresting glimpses of orange and tangerine. The palate is beautifully light and exquisitely juicy, with the charm of tart mandarin fruit. This is absolutely vivid and energetic. Off-dry"

"Huge citrusy freshness and an astonishing purity make this raw diamond of a Mosel Kabinett stand out. On the tightly wound, sleek and light-bodied palate, the blood orange and garden herb aromas are striking. Extremely long finish with mountain-stream clarity. From ungrafted vines planted in the late 1940s. Drinkable now, but best from 2026."

"The 2022 Riesling Dhroner Hofberg Alte Reben Kabinett is a vision of Alphonso mango underneath a veil of yeastiness. The plate continues in this opulent, tropical vein, adding a touch of passion fruit to the mango lusciousness that provides a lovely balance. This is incredibly charming now, vivid, full-fruited but light on its feet. The finish tapers toward a juicy tangerine note that sustains its freshness. Available at auction: 600 bottles, 30 magnums.
