"Although better known for its blanc de blancs, Doyard makes a small amount of vivid, juicy red Coteaux from a parcel of Pinot Noir near Dizy in A . It's full of black cherry juice, cranberries and smoke, aromatic and almost inky yet with a beautifully bright and sappy palate. With 20% whole-bunch fermentation, there's a beautiful, floral brightness to the aromatics that makes this an immediate pleasure."

"Very pale in the glass and very leafy on the nose. Some Coteaux show clearly their cool climate with herbal, peppery character, allied here with red fresh fruit and smoky complexity. Juicy on the light-bodied palate with quite a simple finish. Drink now."
