"Hailing from complex soils defined by a mixture of iron, quartz, sand and silt, the 2022 Trane is the most aromatically spectacular wine in the Parra lineup, opening with an alluring, complex perfume of licorice, orange peels, roses and dark fruits. Similarly, the palate is the most sumptuous and concentrated, ratcheting up the density and saturation while sacrificing none of the silky precision that defines the house style. This power is echoed on the finish with an expansive, sweet intensity that swells in lockstep with a simmering mineral undercurrent, concluding with a retronasal perfume first observed on the nose. This is certainly the flashiest, most seductive wine in the stable, and I suspect it will evolve beautifully in the cellar."

"A nice touch of white pepper funk with tangy berries, crushed chalk, pomegranates and wild raspberries. This is firm and ethereal at the same time, with plenty of chalky tannins that upload the fruit to the pristine, lengthy finish. Delicate and rather vulnerable. Drink from 2025."

"The 2023 Trane was named after musician John Coltrane, and it was produced with Cinsault from an old vineyard in the Tinajacura zone of Guarilihue where the sandy soils have lots of quartz, iron and silt and are very stony and deliver vertical wines with complexity. It fermented with 100% full clusters and indigenous yeasts and matured for 11 months. This is Parra's favorite terroir, and it was supposed to be the best wine, but until now, it lacked some brightness and depth; now, however, this feels like the finest Trane to date. He also purchased this vineyard in 2023. The wine has complexity and is complete. It has 13% alcohol and always feels a bit reductive. 2,323 bottles were filled in February 2022."

"This is more like a Barolo or a Brunello, with savory aromas of dried orange peel, cloves, white pepper funk and agave. Medium-bodied on the palate, with fine tannins. Even and ethereal, with a ginseng character at the end. Drink now or hold."
