"A bright straw color, the 2016 Champagne Special Club Blanc De Blancs Brut is a fresh vintage they harvested in September, and they used a touch of oak just to round out the wine. Fresh with aromas of bright apples, lemon pith, fresh flowers, shortbread, and a light toast, the palate is more linear and driving, with a nice focus and a spritely mousse that accents the acidity at this early stage. Its more mineral drive frames the wine, and it's going to take time, but it will improve over the coming 10-15 years."

"With this year's release, the 2015 Champagne Special Club Blanc De Blancs Brut packs in a balance of power and electricity. Raised predominantly in stainless steel tank with 27% in barrel for 60 months, its pale yellow hue leads to classic aromas of pure green apple, candied lime, flinty crushed stones, and fresh honeysuckle. Lively and herbaceous on the palate, it offers a spritely mousse with loads of ripe grapefruit-noted citrus and a long, persistent core of acidity, well-balanced with ripe fruit and a stony mineral texture. This fantastic and age-worthy example from the 2015 vintage has the structure to cruise across the coming 15 or more years. Disgorged in January 2023, it has the addition of 8 grams per liter dosage."

"The 2015 Brut Spécial Club is 100% Chardonnay from three Premier Cru lieux-dits in Villers-Marmery. Soft, open-knit and expressive, the 2015 offers hints of pear, apricot, white flowers and spice. A touch of barrel fermentation and a slightly higher dosage of 8 grams per liter work well here in taming some of the more austere characters that run through most of these Champagnes. This is a fine effort for the year. Disgorged: January, 2023."
