"A cuvée first produced in 2011, the 2018 Champagne Rose De Saignée pours a deeper cherry hue and is similarly noted on the nose with aromas of cherries, fresh spices, and crushed flowers. Medium-bodied, it has broader structure and a light tannin angular feel that can stand up to richer foods at the table. It reveals a note of spiced orange zest, yet it's all about its more medicinal but pure cherry lozenge fruit on the finish. It has a crispy freshness that holds it together, and it offers a lot to enjoy. Drink this over the coming 6-7 years, but I like where it is now."
