"Also all Meunier, the 2019 Champagne Rocherets is from a west-facing vineyard in Mardeuil planted in 1971. A bright yellow golden color, it shows off a more citrus-inflected profile, with notes of orange zest, clove, beeswax, and hay. Inviting and approachable on the palate, this is another very tasty wine from Gamey, with a long finish that gains in purity on the back palate. I am impressed with this wine, which has a lot of nuance as well as the potential to age gracefully over the next 15 years."

"Floral and spice aromatics join flavors of toasted whole-grain bread, ripe black currant, black cherry and crystallized honey in this round and creamy Champagne, animated by soft, orange peel acidity. Lightly salty on the finish. 136 cases made, 35 cases imported. - AN"
