"The NV (2023) Brut L'Esquisse is a powerful, driving wine. Dried pear, herbs, chamomile and crushed flowers lend a distinctly savory character. I especially admire the wine's energy and tension, both of which make it a fabulous choice for the dinner table. L'Esquisse is 76% Meunier and 24% Pinot Noir from Cuisles, Jonquery and Châtillon-sur-Marne, based on 2023 with 15% reserve wines. Dosage is 1.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: February 6, 2025."

"Mostly from the 2022 vintage with 8% reserve wine, the NV Champagne L'Esquisse Brut is 72% Meunier and the rest Pinot Noir. A copper/straw hue, it jumps from the glass with fruity, expressive notes of wild berries, black berries, violets, and wet stone. Easygoing and approachable, this quaffer is dangerously easy-drinking, with a refreshing mousse and a juicy feel while feeling fully dry. It™s a charmer to enjoy over the next few years."

"Mousse™s NV Blanc de Noirs L™Esquisse, based on the 2023 vintage and enhanced by 15% reserve wines, originates from the villages of Cuisles, Jonquery and Châtillon-sur-Marne. The cuvee comprises 60% organically farmed grapes, and 40% of the blend are tailles. Aromas of pear, peach, early-blooming white flowers and citrus zest waft from the glass, introducing a medium- to full-bodied palate that is fleshy and charming, with a generous core of fruit and tangy acidity. Crafted from 76% Pinot Meunier and 24% Pinot Noir, it was disgorged in February 2025 with a dosage of 1.5 grams per liter."
