• Limited edition blended Japanese whisky produced by Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima, Japan
• 2025 Vintage
• A blend of 1) unpeated single malt distilled from 100% malted barley at Kanosuke Distillery and 2) unpeated malted and unmalted barley distilled at Hioki Distillery
• Both components double distilled using Kanosuke’s Miyake copper pot stills and Hioki’s stainless steel pot stills
• Aged separately for 3–5 years in a combination of new American oak, re-charred Mellowed Kozuru rice shochu American oak casks, sherry casks, ex–bourbon casks, and Kanosuke rum casks; non-age statement
• Stewed apricot, jammy plum, earthy cinnamon, and sweet pastry cream on the nose precede a palate of ripe orchard fruit, rich crème brûlée, and spicy ginger candy with salted caramel on the finish
• No added coloring
• Non-chill filtered; 59% ABV

Distilled at both the Kanosuke Distillery and nearby Hioki Distillery, Double Distillery is a blend of malted and unmalted whiskies produced from 100% barley, carefully crafted to accentuate each of its components and pay homage to Kanosuke Komasa, the second-generation distiller for whom Kanosuke is named. This limited edition release expands on the standard Double Distillery blend with the inclusion of a particularly unique component—whisky aged in casks that previously held Kanosuke’s own molasses-based rum!
